Meet Ilene — From Searching to Understanding

II didn’t come into this work from a textbook.
I came from years of searching.

After being diagnosed with a rare autoimmune condition and walking alongside my neurodiverse child, I was looking for answers anywhere I could find them.

I went down a lot of paths. Some more effective than others. However, even when I was doing the “right things,” I often felt like I was treading water — working hard, trying again, and still not getting the shift I was hoping for. (Life again, Freedom, Choices)

That’s when I began asking deeper questions.

Not just, “What should I do next?”
But, “What is my body responding to?”
“What is still getting in the way?”
“And why does this feel harder than it should?”

Over time, I came to understand something most people don’t see:

The body isn’t broken — it’s responding to something.

That realization became the foundation for the ABT System — a way to uncover what’s getting in the way and support the body so it can function differently.
